Each of us lives with trillions of bacteria, viruses, parasites and fungi in and around our bodies. Together, these are the microbiome, what's been called the largest organ in the body. We talk to Cumming School of Medicine professor Paul Kubes about how the microbiome is responsible for programming and guiding our immune systems, and how the overuse of antibacterial agents could actually be harming us.
