David Laskin completed his PhD in Geography at the University of Calgary, studying the effects of climate change on forest ecosystem dynamics. Specifically, his research employs multi-scale remote sensing to observe shifts in vegetation phenology to improve current approaches of species habitat modeling.
Samuel Yeaman is an assistant professor in the Department of Biological Sciences and the Alberta Innovates - Health Solutions Chair in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology. His research aims to understand how organisms adapt to spatially and temporally heterogeneous environments and how this process shapes the genetic and genomic architecture of complex traits.
