Giuseppe Iaria is an associate professor of Cognitive Neuroscience in the Department of Psychology at UCalgary. He is the director of NeuroLab, a cognitive neuroscience research laboratory entirely dedicated to investigating the behavioural, neurological and genetic mechanisms of orientation and navigation in humans. NeuroLab also manages gettinglost.ca, an online testing platform that also provides easily accessible scientific information on human navigation and orientation and increases general awareness of Developmental Topographical Disorientation (DTD).
Giuseppe is a member of the Hotchkiss Brain Institute, and Alberta Children’s Hospital Research Institute for Child and Maternal Health. His research has been supported by NSERC, SSHRC, CIHR and Canadian Space Agency funding.
