Dr. Francois Bernier

Dr. Bernier is a member of the Alberta Children's Hospital Research Institute, the head of the department of medical genetics at the Cumming School of Medicine and director of the clinical genetics unit at the Alberta Children’s Hospital. His research interests include Clinical and molecular delineation of novel autosomal recessive disorders including DCMA syndrome (dilated cardiomyopathy, cerebellar ataxia and 3-methylglutaconic aciduria) as well as the role of genes and the prenatal environment as the cause of childhood neurodevelopmental disorders including developmental coordination disorder (CDC).
