Dr. Garnette Sutherland

Dr. Sutherland is a professor in the Cumming School of Medicine, an Alberta Health Services neurosurgeon, and a member of the Hotchkiss Brain Institute. His major research focus has been the application of MR techniques to the study of neurological diseases. Dr. Sutherland initiated the development of the Seaman Family MR Research Centre at the Foothills Medical Centre – University of Calgary, thus spearheading the internationally recognized intraoperative MRI program and Project neuroArm medical robotics platform.
